Day 95: Whose Report Will You Believe?

Day 95: Whose Report Will You Believe?
April 4, 2015 Joel Grantham

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”  Psalm 118:17

It is not God’s plan for you to die sick.  His will is for you to live a long and healthy life, serving Him, bearing much fruit for the Kingdom.

Here in Psalm 118 we not only find a great promise, but also a great confession of faith for you to declare, especially if you have been given a bad report from the doctor.  No matter what your current circumstances may look or feel like, if you will choose to look at and say only what God’s Word says about your situation, you will get the victory!

The great apostle of faith, Smith Wigglesworth, used to say, “I am not moved by what I feel, I am not moved by what I see, I am only moved by what I believe.”  Remember, according to Hebrews 6:12 it is THROUGH FAITH that we receive the promises of God.  And 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Many times faith and sight are directly opposed to each other.  After all, if you could see it you wouldn’t need faith!  Your circumstances may be telling you one thing, but God’s Word says that you will live and not die.  Your miracle depends upon WHO you are going to believe.  Are you going to believe the symptoms in your body, or are you going to believe the verses in the Bible?  Are you going to believe the doctors report, or are you going to believe God’s report?

Everyone is going to believe somebody.  And who you choose to believe will determine your destiny.  Romans 3:4 say, “Let God be true and every man a liar.”   In other words, God is the only one who is telling the TRUTH about your situation and He says that you ARE HEALED!  (1 Peter 2:24)  The symptoms in your body may look and feel real, but they are not.  They will, however, become your reality if you choose to believe them.

Isaiah 53:1 asks the question, “Who has believed our report?”  The battle of sickness and disease is not won or lost in the doctor’s office.  No, the battle of sickness and disease is won and lost in the arena of faith in God’s Word.  Your outcome will be decided by WHO you choose to believe.  You can either believe God’s report and live, or you can believe the doctors report and die sick.

Confession:   I will not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord!
