“He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Psalm 107:20
Here in Psalm 107 it says that God “SENT His word.” This is past tense. It doesn’t say that He “SENDS” His word. Now, when did God send His word and heal your body? In John 1:14, speaking about Jesus, it says, “And THE WORD BECAME FLESH and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ, the Word of God, took on human flesh and paid the price for every sickness and every disease in your body.
Now I want you to notice that in Psalm 107 it also says that He “HEALED them.” Again, that is past tense. It does not say that God “HEALS them.” Healing is not something that God gives today, rather it is Someone God has already given! Your healing is not in your future, it is in your past! God has already done it!
I believe that one of the main reasons that Christians are sick is because they are trying to get God to give them something that He has already given them. God has already done all that He is ever going to do about your sickness and disease. After all, what more can He do? He has already done all that He could do, all that needed to be done!
Based upon what Jesus did for you and me on the cross, there should not even be one sick saint in the body of Christ today! When Jesus hung on the cross He said, “It is FINISHED,” not “It has begun.” As far as God is concerned, your healing has already been finished. All you and I need to do now is to learn how to receive it.
Many people today question whether or not it is God’s will to heal every sick person or not. However, when you begin to consider the fact that Jesus died on the cross for our physical healing, just like He did for our forgiveness of sins, the answer becomes clear. You see, God made up His mind about your healing two thousand years ago when He allowed His Son to be beaten by those Roman soldiers! Even if He wanted to change His mind, it is too late now! Jesus has already taken stripes on His back, He has already shed His blood, and He has already died upon that cross for your healing. The scripture doesn’t say, “By His stripes you WILL BE HEALED,” no, it says, “By His stripes YOU WERE HEALED.” Healing is a forever settled issue!
Confession: My healing has already been purchased for me by the work Jesus did on Calvary. I am not waiting on God to heal me. I receive my healing now, in Jesus’ name.
