Day 9: God Has Not Forgotten You

Day 9: God Has Not Forgotten You
January 8, 2015 Joel Grantham

“Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.  And she conceived and bore a son, and said, “God has taken away my reproach.”  Genesis 30:22-23

God has not forgotten you!  He created you (Job 33:4), He had a plan for your future even when you were still in your mother womb (Jeremiah 1:5) and He knows the number of hairs that you have on your head (Luke 12:7).  God certainly knows about and cares about your every need, including your need for physical healing.

The words, “Then God remembered Rachel,” are very encouraging to me.  At times we have all felt like God had forgotten about us.  It is easy to feel this way when you have been suffering with sickness and disease for any length of time.  But no, God has not forgotten about you!  How could He!  He loves you so very much!

Not only has God not forgotten about you, I want you to know that God hears you when you pray to Him.  Maybe you have been suffering with sickness for a long time.  I know it can be easy to think that your prayers are not getting through.  But as long as you are praying in faith, believing that God hears and answers your prayers, your prayers are getting through to God.

Like Rachel, God will grant you your request and heal your body.  Romans 2:11 says, “For there is no partiality with God.”  In other words, God has no favorites.  What He does for one, He will do for another.  Time and time again, throughout the pages of the Bible, we see God healing the sick in answer to prayer.  He will do the same for you!

Confession:  My God knows me and cares about me.  The Lord hears and answers my prayers when I call on Him in faith.
