Day 73: New Every Morning

Day 73: New Every Morning
March 13, 2015 Joel Grantham

“And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.”  Job 11:17 KJV

Here we find a powerful promise in God’s Word of restoration and health.  I am definitely not what you would call a “morning person”, however there is something about the morning that I have always loved.  I think it is the feeling of a fresh beginning.  No matter what mistakes I made or what troubles I faced yesterday, I know that God’s mercy for my life starts afresh with each new day.

One of my favorite Scriptures that has meant so much to me over the years is Lamentations 3:22-23 which says, “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.  THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING; great is your faithfulness.”

Here in the book of Job we find a promise that we can hold on to and claim for ourselves.  No matter how bad things look right now, God promises to heal you, bringing total restoration to your body and life.

I love to sing the old hymn by Edith McNeil that says, ‘The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.  His mercies never come to an end.  They are new every morning, new every morning.  Great is Thy faithfulness O Lord, great is Thy faithfulness.”

Why don’t you lift your hands right now and thank Him for His new mercies in your life?  Go ahead and praise Him right now for healing your body and restoring your life.

Confession:  God is restoring my health and my life.  His mercies are new every morning!
