Day 61: THE PERFECT EULOGY

Day 61: THE PERFECT EULOGY
March 1, 2015 Joel Grantham

“So he (David) died in a good old age, full of days and riches and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place.”  1 Chronicles 29:28

This is one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible.  May this be said of me at my funeral if the Lord tarries His return until after I die.  I cannot think of a greater legacy to leave behind than this!

Like David, it is God’s will for you to die in a “good old age.”  In Psalm 91:16 God promises those who dwell in the secret place of His presence long life by saying, “With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”

It is NEVER God’s will for someone to die young!  I want you to get that in your spirit!  God’s will for you is for you to live a long, healthy and prosperous life!  And once you do reach an old age, He doesn’t want you to die from sickness and disease either!

In this verse of Scripture we can see the plan that God has for each of our lives.  Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God’s plan for our life is to do us GOOD and not evil.  God wants you to live a long, healthy life and He wants to prosper you with financial abundance.  He also plans to establish your children in the faith, blessing them the same way that He has blessed you.

I for one am contending for this verse in my own life.  I refuse to settle for God’s second best when I can have His best!  I pray that you will contend for this as well with all of your faith.

Confession:  Thank you Lord for a long, healthy and prosperous life!
