Day 43: Jesus Never Fails

Day 43: Jesus Never Fails
February 11, 2015 Joel Grantham

“And the Lord, He it is that doeth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee; fear not, neither be dismayed.”  Deuteronomy 31:8  KJV

What an encouraging promise from God’s Word!  Let’s break this down little by little to be sure that we really understand what God is saying to us.

First of all, God says that He is the One who goes before you.  Do you realize that your miracle is not in your future, it is in your past?  Jesus has already paid for all of your sins and all of your sicknesses on the cross.  God is not going to heal you one day in the future.  Why?  Because He already healed you two thousand years ago!  1 Peter 2:24 declares, “By Whose stripes ye WERE healed.”

Secondly, God says that He will be with you.  How comforting it is to know that you are not alone!  Sometimes when the trial gets tough, it feels like God has forgotten you or forsaken you.  This is why we should never go by our feelings, but only by what The Word of God says.  1 John 4:4 (KJV) says, “Greater is He that is IN YOU, than he that is in the world.”  How could you be alone when the Greater One lives on the inside of you?

Next, God says that He will not fail you.  In other words, God is always faithful to keep His promises!  As a matter of fact Hebrews 10:23 (KJV) says, “He is faithful that promised.”  If you feel like giving up today, be encouraged to know that God will not fail you!

Lastly, God tells us to not be afraid or discouraged.  Faith opens the doorway for God to move in your life and fear opens the door for the devil to move in your life.  Faith comes when we are looking at God’s Word.  Fear comes when we are looking at our circumstances.  So today, take your eyes off of your sickness and put your eyes on Jesus.  Like the song says, “Jesus never fails!”

Confession:  My God will not forsake me nor will He fail me because all of His promises are true.
