Day 148: Do Not Limit The Unlimited One

Day 148: Do Not Limit The Unlimited One
June 27, 2015 Joel Grantham

“You who are named the house of Jacob: ‘Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted?  Are these His doings? Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?’”  Micah 2:7

In Genesis 18:14, God asked Abraham the question, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”  Your situation may look bleak.  The doctors may have given you a bad report.  But no matter what your problem may be, know that there is nothing too hard for the Lord!

The power of the Holy Spirit is unlimited!  In Luke 1:35 He is called, “The power of the Highest.”  Truly His power is omnipotent!  There is no sickness that He cannot heal, no bondage that He cannot break and no problem that He cannot fix!

In Micah 2:7 God goes on to ask the question, “Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?”  God wants to do GOOD THINGS for you!  In Matthew 7:11 Jesus tells us that He desires to give “GOOD GIFTS” to His children.  Then in James 1:17 we learn that “Every GOOD GIFT and every PERFECT GIFT is from above.”  And in Acts 10:38 we discover that physical healing is one of the GOOD GIFTS that God desires for us.  It declares that Jesus, “Went about DOING GOOD and HEALING all who were oppressed by the devil.”

There is however, one thing that can hinder the Spirit of God from doing good for you and manifesting healing in your physical body.  And that is UNBELIEF.  In Mark 6:5-6 the Bible says, “Now He (Jesus) COULD DO NO mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.  And He marveled BECAUSE OF THEIR UNBELIEF…”  Our unbelief in God’s promises can limit the power of the Holy Spirit from working on our behalf.

Just think about it for a minute.  The Bible tells us that it is God’s will for everyone to be saved.  However, everyone is not saved.  Why?  It certainly isn’t because of a shortage of God’s saving power!  1 Corinthians 1:21 tells us that God is only able to save those who believe.  Unbelief is the only thing that can keep a person from being saved.

Unbelief is very powerful.  Hebrews 3:19 says, “So we see that they could not enter in (into the promises) BECAUSE of unbelief.”  Unbelief can limit the Unlimited One!  It will keep you from receiving God’s promises.  This is why God warns us to get rid of all unbelief out of our heart.  In Hebrews 3:12 it warns, “Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.”

This is why you need to constantly feed your spirit man on the words of God.  Never miss a day!  Romans 10:17 tells us that faith COMES by hearing God’s word.  Faith has legs.  If faith can come, then it can go.  Faith never stands still.  If faith is not constantly coming to you, then it is going from you.  The way to keep faith coming to you is by continually feeding yourself on what God’s word promises.  Do not let unbelief limit the power of the Holy Spirit in your life, robbing you of God’s provision of divine healing.

Confession:   There is nothing too hard for my God!  I believe that all His promises concerning my healing are true.
