Day 122: How God Works

Day 122: How God Works
May 4, 2015 Joel Grantham

“So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  Isaiah 55:11

Many people are confused today about how God works.  In an attempt to explain God with our natural understanding, man has come up with several unscriptural sayings about how God operates.  The most popular of these would be the saying, “The Lord works in mysterious ways.”  However, a closer look at scripture reveals that this is just not true!

In Psalm 103:7 it says, “He made known His ways to Moses.”  The in Mark 4:11 Jesus told His disciples, “To you it has been given to know the MYSTERY of the kingdom of God.”  God’s ways are only mysterious to those who have not taken the time to learn them.

Here in Isaiah chapter 55, God reveals to us just how He works – through His Word.  Everything that God does in the earth and in the lives of men and women, He does through His written Word.  God never works outside of His Word.

In Titus 1:2 it says that God CANNOT lie!  In other words, if God promised it in His Word, He will never change His mind.  All that we have to do to receive His promise is to believe and speak His Word!

You see, the promises of God do not come automatically.  They must be appropriated by faith.  God’s Word will work for anyone who works it!  Anyone can be saved, if they will only follow the instructions on how to receive salvation as outlined in His Word.  In the very same way, anyone can be healed if they will only follow the instructions on how to receive healing as described in His Word. Your answer is in the Word of God!  Your healing is in the Word of God!  Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us that, if we will take God’s Word as prescribed, it will bring health to our body.

Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the Word of God is not only powerful, but it is also ALIVE!  The Word of God has enough power in itself to make itself come to pass!  All you really need to do is just find ONE scripture where God promises the thing that you desire.  Once you find that scripture, if you will begin to confess it by thanking God for it in advance, it will produce for you the very thing that it promises!  God doesn’t even have to do anything extra!

Confession:  God’s Word is working for me!  God’s Word is health to all my flesh.
