Day 116: The Secret Of Waiting On The Lord

Day 116: The Secret Of Waiting On The Lord
April 26, 2015 Joel Grantham

“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:30-31

The secret to the blessings of God, including healing, is the manifest presence of God!  Kathryn Kuhlman, an anointed woman of God who was used mightily by the Lord in miracles, signs and wonders in the mid to late twentieth century, said that the secret to miracles was the presence of God.  She said, “If you let the people experience the presence of Jesus, they will be healed.”

In Psalm 24:3 asks the question, “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?  Or who may stand in His holy place?”  In other words, he was asking, “Who can go into the PRESENCE of the Lord?”  Then in verse 5 he declares, “He shall receive the blessing from the Lord.”  Do you see it?  The man or woman who enters the presence of the Lord receives the blessing!  The blessings of God are received INSIDE, not outside, His presence.

Because of sin, humanity was separated from the presence of God.  In Genesis 3:8 it tells us that because of their sin, Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord.  Ephesians 2:12 tells us that because of sin we were, “Strangers from the covenants of promise (physical healing is a part of that covenant), having no hope and without God in the world.”  But in verse 13 it goes on to say, “BUT NOW in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”

Remember, when Jesus shed His blood on the cross, dying for our sins, the veil that separated the Holy of Holies from the Holy Place in the temple was torn in two.  This signified that the way into God’s presence had been restored to humanity!  How sad that very few Christians ever take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

Either because of the business of life or because our hearts desire other things more than the Lord, we often skip that special time of prayer when we can come into His presence and sit at His feet!  Hebrews 4;16 admonishes us saying, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find help in time of need.”

Your HELP is found IN HIS PRESENCE!  Your HEALING is found IN HIS PRESENCE!  Take time out today, and every day, to get ALONE with the Lord and wait on Him in His blessed presence.  That is where your strength comes from and that is where your healing comes from!

Confession:  As I wait on the Lord in His presence my body is made strong and healthy.
