Day 110: God’s Timing

Day 110: God’s Timing
April 19, 2015 Joel Grantham

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal.”  Ecclesiastes 3:1-3

One of the greatest lies of the enemy is to get you to believe that God has scheduled your healing for a specific time in the future.  With this lie he convinces the sick to passively wait upon God for His timing instead of actively receiving the healing that he has already provided.

Healing belongs to you NOW!  God has not scheduled a day in the future for you to be healed.  According to the scriptures, He has already healed you.  1 Peter 2:24 declares, “By Whose stripes you WERE healed.”  Today, we are not waiting on God to heal us, rather God is waiting on us to receive the healing that He has already provided.

The Bible teaches that a person can be saved and healed at anytime.  God does not have a special day set aside in the future (that only He knows about) when you will be healed.  In Matthew 13:15 in the King James Version it says, “For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; LEST AT ANYTIME they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, AND SHOULD BE CONVERTED, AND I SHOULD HEAL THEM.”

Your healing is not in your future, your healing is in your past!  I am convinced that one of the main reasons that a Christian has not yet received their healing is because they are still waiting on God to give them something that He already gave them 2,000 years ago!  Physical healing, like salvation, was purchased on the cross of Christ.

You do not have to wait for God’s “timing” for you to be healed anymore than you have to wait for God’s “timing” for you to be saved.  His “timing” was 2,000 years ago!  2 Corinthians 6:2 states, “In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.  Behold, NOW IS THE ACCEPTED TIME; BEHOLD, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.”  If “NOW” is the day of salvation, then “NOW” is the day of healing because they were purchased at the same time (on the cross).

In Hebrews 8:6 the Bible says that the New Covenant is better than the Old Covenant because it has better promises.  One of the main differences between the Old Testament promises and the New Testament promises is TENSE.  For example, in the Old Testament God promises, “I will bless you” (Deuteronomy 28:2), “I will deliver you” (Jeremiah 15:21), and “I will heal you” (Jeremiah 30:17) – all in the future tense.  However, in the New Testament, His Word says that, “He HAS blessed you” (Ephesians 1:3), “He HAS delivered you” (Colossians 1:13), and “He HAS healed you” (1 Peter 2:24) – all in the past tense.

So, stop waiting on God to heal you!  Through Christ, God has already done all that He is ever going to do about your sickness and disease.  Why?  Because He did all that He could do, all that needed to be done!  What more can He do?  Jesus has already paid the price for our healing with the stripes that He took on His back.  Healing is a free gift.  All you and I have to do is receive it by faith.  Why don’t you do that TODAY?

Confession:  Today is the day of my healing.  My healing was purchased at the cross of Christ 2,000 years ago.  By faith, I accept and receive my healing right now.
